History of raspberry plants

According to Luther Burbank, who studied and hybridized raspberries and blackberries more than any other horticulturalist, and wrote his classical 8 volume treatise of small fruits and fruit improvement in 1921, the red raspberry plant cultivated in Europe for centuries, in the wild from Greece to Spain and north of Norway to Sweden.
