whats the difference between organic and heirloom seeds?
i need to make sure that the seeds i purchase is/are regenerating.
Heirloom seeds are usually older varieties that are open pollinated, breed true, and the seeds can be saved from year to year.
Organic is the method by which the plant from which the seed was gathered is grown, without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, etc.
You can have heirloom organic seeds, heirloom non-organic seeds, hybrid organic seeds, or hybrid non-organic seeds. They should be clearly labeled.
