pesticide and herbicide collection points in texas?

Our extended family recently moved into a house situated on three city lots in Ft. Worth Texas. In the 40′s, 50′s, 60′s and 70′s this place was a well known garden supply company and nursery with two greenhouses, an office and a slatted growing/sales area. When we moved in it was obvious that vandals had gone through and literally destroyed containers, bags etc. of pesticides and herbicides that were stored on this property before the owners passed away. My question regards the disposal of these chemicals and what assistance does the state of Texas or the city of Ft. Worth give in eliminating this problem (preferably free)?

Call your local waste company for information as to your options. Also call your local state Ag office. They may have a program or may be offer assistance. Both are in the yellow pages.
