What's Wrong With My Vegetable Garden?:
What's Wrong With My Vegetable Garden?

Who Has Tips For Planting A Vegetable Garden?!?
Things like,
Which plants would be best beside each other?
How far apart should the seeds be?
How big should the actual garden be?
When should I plant what vegetables?
I’m looking to plant vegetables like carrots, potatoes and tomatoes.
Any other suggestions would be lovely!
Thank you so much!!
Vegetables come in groups like root vegetables (potatoes, carrots, turnips etc), brassicas (cauliflower, cabbage), legumes (onions, leeks, garlic), so better to have you garden divided into separate beds for separate types. Then if you continue, you can practice crop rotation each year.
As to how far apart the seeds should be and when to plant what, it will say on the back of the seed packets you buy. If you are in any doubt, you can also google it. Its also worth buying a good fruit and veg growing book. You can get one cheaply from one of those book discount stores like “The Works”.
You garden can be as big as you want – depends how many people you want to feed! Maybe start with a smaller area and see how it goes.
